An offshoot of the Webby Awards, the Anthem Awards recognize organizations, brands, and people doing work that creates social good. Rethink Food is a nonprofit with the mission of creating a more sustainable and equitable food system by creating smart, sustainable solutions to utilize extra food and address food insecurity. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization was presented with a transformative opportunity to expand its model to a national scale. L+R helped Rethink Food develop a brand strategy and visual identity that reflected its new bigger and broader mission. See our work.

Spireworks, Change at a Distance

Spireworks is a groundbreaking app that empowers users with real-time control of the architectural lighting on three iconic Manhattan buildings. L+R built the Spireworks app and the complicated backend administration platform. In the early months of the pandemic, L+R worked with Spireworks to open its interactive lighting and donation platform to the entire globe in support of the Coronavirus Relief Fund. Donors gained access to the lights of New York City, and could view the buildings via a custom live stream. See our work.

Take on Wall Street is a coalition of non-profit organizations working to create a more equitable financial system. Take on Wall Street partnered with L+R and Mangrove Web Development to create IsOurEconomyFair.org, a website that leverages stunning design and an interactive UX to engage and empower visitors with an understanding of how financial institutions have used their disproportionate power at key moments in our history to counter individuals’ struggles for racial, climate, gender, and economic justice and to create an economic system that benefits Wall Street at the expense of the working class.
