Celebrating L+R's impact-driven work with 6 wins at the Anthem Awards presented by the Webby Awards

L+R is proud to announce our recognition at the inaugural Anthem Awards for work with Rethink, Spireworks, Alexander, Candid, AveNew, and Take On Wall Street.

The Anthem Awards are produced by the prestigious Webby Awards that honors companies, brands, and individuals who contribute to social good through their actions. These awards establish a new bar for meaningful work that motivates others to act in their communities by amplifying the voices that create global change.

These wins represent a broader win for L+R and their partners as they showcase the work done to amplify change with technology-enablement.

Rethink | Humanitarian Action & Services – Best Local Community Engagement

Rethink Food won for its innovative approach to solving food waste and Community Engagement. Rethink is an NYC-based nonprofit that originally focused on repairing existing systems to distribute food more efficiently throughout the community. However, during the pandemic, they were given the opportunity to expand their model nationwide. L+R helped Rethink develop a brand strategy and visual identity that reflected its national expansion.

Spireworks Change at a Distance | Responsible Technology – Non-Profit Campaign

Spireworks is a ground-breaking app that gives users real-time control of the architectural lighting on three prominent Manhattan structures. L+R developed the Spireworks software, backend administration system, and collaborated with Spireworks to open its interactive illumination and donation platform to the entire globe in support of the Coronavirus Relief Fund throughout the epidemic's early months. Donors could watch lights from New York City as they lit up, and a custom live stream provided them with views of the buildings.

Alexander App | Education, Art, & Culture - Service

The designs for Alexander brought home the awards for Education, Art, & Culture with its elevated in-app experience. The Alexander App is a new and innovative entertainment experience that combines award-winning nonfiction, voice narration, video, and imagery with cutting-edge technology. L+R was responsible for the project's product strategy, technology design, and mobile development.

AveNew App | Human & Civil Rights – Service

The digital platform for AveNew Activist is a tool to help unions and their members communicate more clearly. L+R assisted AveNew in creating a strong brand strategy and digital platform that represented and amplified the group's message. Unions have access to a digital community on the clean, uncomplicated site to educate, inspire, engage, motivate, and reward their members for taking action.

IsOurEconomyFair.org | Human & Civil Rights - Research Projects/Publications

Take on Wall Street is a coalition of non-profit organizations striving to establish a more balanced financial system. Take on Wall Street partnered with L+R to create isoureconomyfair.org, an immune and learn website catered towards engage visitors with the history of how financial institutions have used their power advantageously at moments in our past against individuals fighting for racial, gender, climate and economic justice as well as creating an economy that would enlarge Wall Street's wallet size rather than working class citizens.

Candid App | Responsible Technology – Service

Candid strives to provide the world with information that can inspire change. By conducting research, collaborating with others, and offering training courses, Candid connects those who wish to make a difference with the tools they need. Candid commissioned L+R to create a mobile application connecting non-profit organizations to funding opportunities.

The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences individually reviews the entries submitted during the Call for Entries, and the standards for each category as determined by the Academy (as well as non-profits, foundations, and purpose-driven brands in the industry) are used to evaluate entries. The inaugural Anthem Voices conference was aired live via virtual stream on Monday, February 28, 2022, to commemorate the first annual Anthem Awards winners.
