L+R has been given the Good Design® Award for its Spireworks Change At A Distance project for 2020 within the Interactive Media category.
“We have been involved with Spireworks for years, helping the initiative provide the public with the ability to co-create and connect through their platform,” said Alex Levin, co-founder of L+R. “We are proud that the judges have chosen to recognize this interactive project that unites so many people in our divided world today.”
Spireworks is a revolutionary building-scale interactive lighting installation that allows selected users to control iconic New York skyscraper lights in real-time with a single touch. Most recently, Spireworks launched a live streaming desktop platform that raised money for Global Giving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund, entitled “Change at a Distance”.
