Spireworks, in cooperation with L+R, has received a Gold Award of Excellence. The 2021 Communicator Awards were announced in May 2021, and L+R and Spireworks were recognized in the Digital Experiences/Cause Marketing category.
“This unique project has continued to make a positive difference in our world, and we’re so happy that it has been recognized for its efforts,” said Alex Levin, co-founder of L+R. “Over the years, a wide number of organizations have had the ability to raise both awareness and money for their causes through Spireworks, and L+R is proud of our small role in this amazing project.”
This year marks the 27th annual Communicator Awards competition, which reviewed more than 6,000 entries from companies around the world. It is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals.
Change At A Distance is what gives our experience of discovery and play a distinct merit above and beyond the simple pleasure of controlling lights. Partnering with L+R in communicating that was something we have not second-guessed.

Spireworks recently raised donations for the Global Giving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund. Participants were invited to control the iconic building lights of New York City safely from the comfort of their own home. All money raised went to supporting COVID-19 needs, including helping impoverished communities and essential workers.
