Alex Levin of L+R has been selected to join the jury for the 27th annual Webby Awards. The Webbys, founded in 1996, are esteemed awards that acknowledge Internet excellence worldwide.
Organized by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, the Webby Awards bring together a 1000+ member panel of web experts, business leaders, and creative figures. Alex will contribute his decade-long industry experience to help determine the most exceptional in web development across the globe.
Annually, the Webby Awards receive approximately 13,000 entries from all 50 states and more than 70 countries. A select 20% are recognized as Official Honorees, and only 5% are bestowed the coveted Webby Award. These awards are regarded as one of the highest honors in the digital realm, often likened to the Internet's Oscars. The categories are broad, ranging from Best Website and Best Mobile Site to Best Social Media. The award winners will be announced in May 2023.
The jury panel for the 2023 Webby Awards also includes well-known personalities like LeVar Burton, Takashi Murakami, and Maya Watson. The Webbys have been known to feature many renowned comedians and actors, such as Seth Meyers, Lisa Kudrow, and Hannibal Buress.
