The core hypothesis of Meridian is that the foundational skills of mobile developers and designers—working with tools like Swift for Apple Vision Pro and Kotlin for Meta Quest—are critical to shaping the next generation of spatial applications.
The "Beyond: Community" award specifically acknowledges the rapid, organic growth of this initiative, which we launched a little under a year ago. In that short time, Meridian Meetups has convened thousands of professionals. What began as a local gathering has expanded into a global network, with active chapters in more than five cities, including Brooklyn, Barcelona, Accra, Nairobi, and Lagos, with more launching internationally.
