Challenge

Professional Musician Community

Famed drummer and music director, Elmo Lovano, founded Jammcard to be the social community for the professional musician. Artists present themselves and their talents to a vetted music community, building networks and finding opportunities. The L+R team provided product design and strategic counsel to Jammcard, helping grow and evolve its platform into the future.

Solution

Technology-Enabled Design

L+R worked to build a solid foundation through continuous interviews with professional musicians, detailed persona creation, and a complete analysis of successful professional social networks both online and off. From this research, L+R consulted on building the feature-set, user experience and user interface for industry members, brands, and professionals to deliver value across multiple verticals.

It provides 'vetted pros' for those in need of musicianship, and exclusive, members-only events. Among the app's successful musical matches has been assembling live bands for the likes of Gwen Stefani, Zedd, Maren Morris, among others.

Impact

The Perfect Pitch

Initially launched in Los Angeles, the Jammcard app is an invitation-only social network for vetted music professionals. Early success stories with Zedd, Maren Morris, and Grey led Jammcard to enter a coveted partnership with The Grammy's and launches in Austin, New York City and Nashville. Jammcard has successfully secured rounds of funding for the platform, the most recent round included investors such as Quincy Jones.
